Pakoff's Beluga Hybrid Perla is a blend of two sturgeon species: Huso huso x Acipenser baerii. Beluga is the largest and most luxurious type of caviar, with a buttery, creamy texture and large, tender pearls. Due to the lack of availability of Beluga caviar and the complexity of breeding the species, many producers have begun crossing Beluga with other faster-producing sturgeon species. This product combines the size and flavor profile of Beluga with the production speed of the smallest Siberian sturgeon to offer an alternative to the limited supply of Beluga.
